Jane E. O'Toole
Balboa Advisors, LLC, was founded by Jane E. O’Toole. For over a quarter of a century, Ms. O’Toole has been assisting people in meeting their personal financial and wealth planning goals. Since 1980 she has worked in the fields of asset management, securities brokerage, private banking, real estate, and mortgage placement. In 1992 she formed a mortgage firm, working with individuals to manage their mortgage loans much as they would any investment asset.   She has extensive education in the fields of real estate, banking, and trust management. “I believe that many investors currently have an unbalanced mix of assets in their overall financial plan. For years they have been forced to invest most or all of their retirement assets in public securities and cash accounts. This product is very exciting,” Jane says, “it will allow individuals to self-direct and diversify into other types of investments which have the potential to yield much higher returns than those to which they have been accustomed in recent years.”

Jane is a graduate of Florida State University (1977) with a B.S. in Finance. She is married, and is a mother of three sons. As such, she spends much of her personal time volunteering for youth organizations. Jane continues to operate her mortgage company, which offers reverse mortgages to seniors, in addition to conventional mortgage products.

As a private banker, my market-educated clients often asked why their retirement funds couldn’t be invested in real estate.
